Tristan Norman is a Rotary Global Scholar for the Environment from the United States of America.
He is studying for an MSc in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation at Lund University in Sweden.
Currently, he is a visiting researcher and intern at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) working on the International Climate Risk and Adaptation team.
In addition, he is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Global Policy, Diplomacy, Sustainability (GPODS) fellow, and part of the British American Security Information Council's (BASIC) Emerging Voices Network. Tristan has previously worked as a Programs Officer at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) Tokyo, focused on climate and sustainability.
His research interests include EU-NATO relations, civil & total defense, disaster risk management, extreme weather events, cascading climate risks, critical infrastructure resilience, and climate, peace, and security risks.
